With musical roots sunk in the Long Island Independent/Hardcore music scene, Brand New were formed in 2000 by singer/guitarist Jesse Lacey, drummer Brian Lane, guitarist Vin Accardi, and bassist Garrett Tierney.
After recording their debut album, Your Favorite Weapon, with a friend and fifth band member, Mike Sapone, they began to tour the nation relentlessly.
The band from Long Island is touring Australia in support of their third record, The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me.
