To see a bit of 18th century England, head over to Cook's Cottage in Fitzroy Gardens - a cottage built in Yorkshire, England, in 1755 by the parents of famous English navigator Captain James Cook.
Combining modern interpretations of Captain Cook's life and adventures with centuries old relics and a vibrant, colourful cottage garden, Cooks' Cottage provides a unique insight into the way of life for people in the 18th century and a modern interpretation of Captain James Cook's voyages.
The Cottage was dismantled, numbered and transported to Melbourne in crates and barrels, re-assembled and officially opened in the Fitzroy Gardens in 1934.
