Melbourne’s iconic Eureka Tower in the world’s tallest residential building is the highest viewing platform in the Southern Hemisphere.
As you can probably imagine, the view of Melbourne from this platform is nothing short of awe-inspiring. Two dedicated lifts propel visitors to Level 88 in under 40 seconds where you will be greeted with 'The Edge' - a switchable glass cube which slides out from the building with you inside thus offering a panoramic view of the Melbourne skyline.

so i was obviously too chicken to go out on "the edge" but by friends did and i minded their bags and went and bought a postcard . . . amazing view though, even for someone with vertigo!
