La befana



In Italian culture, La Befana, is the good Italian witch who flies on her broomstick to visit children and leaves presents in their stockings on the eve of the Epiphany.

The La Befana festival in Melbourne boasts entertainment at Piazza Italia including traditional and modern Italian music and opera while activities including circus workshops, face painting, The Connies and lots more are available in the neighbouring Argyle Square Gardens.
