The Melbourne Museum is an award-winning museum featuring a permanent collection in eight galleries, a complete skeleton of a blue whale, a living rainforest and an IMAX theatre.
It is located just north of the Melbourne CBD in Carlton Gardens and offers a rich and surprising insights into life in Victoria. As well as offering a plethora of events during school holiday periods, the museum also boasts an entire children's gallery aimed squarely at 3-8 year olds, consisting of three spaces - the exhibition gallery Big Box, The Learning Environment and the Tattersall's Children's Garden.
