Tianjin Dancing Kite Festival



The Tianjin Dancing Kite Festival is a special celebration of Melbourne’s Sister City relationship with Tianjin, China and features activities and entertainment for the entire family.

Learn how to make Chinese kites and lanterns, learn a ribbon dance or join the kids' dragon parade. There will also be face painting, martial arts demonstrations and traditional Chinese music and song throughout this fun-filled day.

Make sure to be around at 1:00pm and 3:00pm when the Chinese Lion makes his grand appearance and perform a Lion Dance.
